First time in its history, Rajasthan Computer Traders Association (RCTA) has planned an edutainment tour outside India for its members. The association will be taking around 25-35 members to visit China in the second week of December 2012.
Speaking to The DQ Week, Kailash Gupta, president, RCTA informed, "The idea to take RCTA members to China has been proposed by our one of our patron and founder presidents of RCTA. Rupesh Kedia, who is settled in China, is doing flourishing business making name and fame. This 6 days 5 nights tour to one of the most culturally rich country with its own native traditions and society with highest population in the world will be providing a good experience to our members. As we know, China has invariably become the most dominating country in hardware manufacturing with almost 90% major brands having their manufacturing base in China, it would be a learning experience for members who are into distribution as well solution selling business."
The objective of the tour would be business promotion and cultural exchange. This would help the delegation to understand the China market, engage in business promotion and explore emerging markets and learn and get exposed to the already successful production model, cost control and distribution network. Also it will help conclude the business transaction and open new avenues for members.
During the visit, the delegation will be visiting places like Hong Kong, Shenzhen. Additionally, RCTA will be organizing a gala night at Sanya/Guilin on December 12.
Kedia has willingly offered RCTA members a 6 days 5 nights tour to China where he has voluntarily offered the hospitality in terms of free lodging, boarding and local traveling to all RCTA members. An RCTA member has to just buy their one-way ticket from Delhi to Hong Kong, pay for visa and travel insurance, etc.
"We are receiving overwhelming response for this tour and have received confirmations from more than 30 members. This is the 'first ever initiative' by any association for a 'business delegation tour' outside India. The tentative seats are around 20 numbers on first come first basis and the tentative budget would be around Rs 40,000 for the delegates. Nevertheless, team RCTA is trying to get some sponsorship from major vendors which can further subsidize the cost," added Gupta.
The association has requested to all RCTA Life members to rush their entry through a confirmation mail till October 20; along-with an initial cheque of Rs 20,000 in favor of RCTA.
