QNAP to increase its channel network by 50 percent

Having witnessed a huge
growth in its business strategies after entering into a distribution
agreement with Redington India, href="https://www.dqweek.com/qnap-appoints-redington-as-its-vad">QNAP
Systems, a Network Attached
Storage (NAS) and Network Video Recorder (NVR) provider, has planned
to increase its existing channel network by 50 percent in the FY
'10-11. “We have strengthened our distribution network through
Redington's reseller channels to widely offer our full range iSCSI
Turbo NAS series to the market. We have also planned to increase our
channel base to encourage channel partners to bring in more business
with an efficient customer-centric approach,” said Kerman Rana,
Director-Business Development, QNAP Systems, Currently, there are
over 30 channel partners for the company.

QNAP will be investing
to
develop partners' skill-sets with extensive training and
certification opportunities. The program will enable joint marketing
activities and go-to-market initiatives with members. Also, in
association with Redington
and Enterprise SBU, QNAP
Systems
organized a technical training session on style="font-weight: normal;">NAS
servers
for its style="font-weight: normal;">system
integrators
and style="font-weight: normal;">VAR
partners
, which was conducted in Delhi, Bangaluru,
Mumbai, Chennai and Hyderabad. The training session was designed to
enable QNAP partners to gain an in depth understanding of the
technical aspects of Turbo
NAS business series
, which will further help the
channel partners in expanding product in the market. “The training
program aimed to increase the sales and technical expertise of the
channel community. This program enabled our partners a sharper focus
on how they can build a consultative approach to work with customers
to select the right solution for their needs,” said Rana. He also
added that the new channel partners would be trained to focus
prominently on the SMB segment.

Talking about the
significance of the channel partners in the business growth of the
company, Rana said, “Channel partners have always played a very
essential role in enhancing our business activities in terms of
expanding our footprint in the Indian market. And, to encourage the
channel partners in executing successful business activities, QNAP is
coming up with a channel incentive program in the first quarter of
the FY '10-11. Additionally, members will have access to quarterly
rebate programs and other incentives to boost their business growth.”
