SGPC website

Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC) has announced inauguration of new website on Shri Harmandir Sahib by December 19, 2001. This site will provide broadcasting of Kirtan direct from Shri Harmandir Sahib to the worldwide Internet users. Kirpal Singh Bandurang, President, SGPC would also inaugurate this Web radio facility soon.

Talwan computer center

R Shiva Prashad, DC, Jalandhar recently inaugurated a computer center at the Talwan village. The center is situated at Government Girls High School in the village. This center is open for all the residents of village and nearby area, irrespective of the age barrier. Prashad also donated Rs 1 lakh for the furniture of the school.

Connect schemes

Connect has introduced a new scheme, named Connect Hangama Offer. Under this scheme new telephone connection is available for Rs 1000 and two new connections are available for Rs 750 each. This scheme is valid up to December 31, 2001.
