Speaking to The DQ Week Gurpreet Singh Jagdev, media advisor, PACT informed, "The EC meet was hosted by Hoshiarpur Computer Dealers Association (HCDA), where we have taken a decision that the newly formed body of PACT, will continue to head till April 2014. We have also proposed to elect 22 additional members, 2 members each from the associations, who will be taking part in the election for the next term."

One of the major issues team PACT resolved was protecting two of the Jalandhar IT dealers, who were raided by the police in the software piracy case. The association with the support of Microsoft reached to an understanding, where Microsoft agreed to quash all the charges against the two dealers. "We were having rounds of discussions with team Microsoft to relieve our dealers from the piracy charges, we have been successfully quashed all the charges against our dealers," confirmed Jagdev.

PACT is also likely to sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Microsoft, which has been delaying for last 2 months. "We are in the last stage of finalizing the MoU, hopefully we will settle all the Microsoft related matter in the next meeting of PACT," he added.
