Delhi-based Proview Electronics Pvt Ltd, manu-facturer of monitors and other
peripherals, has recently laun-ched its own brand of computers. Sabre is a
P4-based machine (2.4 GHz) with 17-inch flat monitor, 40 GB hard disc drive, 128
MB RAM and Intel chipset motherboard. The PC is loaded with Linux and priced Rs
23,500 in the market.
"We are targeting mainly corporate and small and medium businesses with
our Sabre PCs and working out aggressive strategies to posi-tion well among the
compe-titive brands. With effective supply-chain in place, Sabre will be offered
at a very competitive price which will give a winning edge for the brand,"
said T Dhanasekaran, Regional Manager (Chennai), Proview Electronics.
The company will also take the retail route to push Sabre among the home
segment. Meanwhile, Proview is going to launch its new range of LCD monitors, in
the 15-inch category, shortly. "As LCD is the trend, we also want to offer

this segment," he said.

projecting a revenue target of Rs 250 crore for this year. Talking about its

in this region with a monthly billing of Rs 45 lakh currently, and our channel
reach in Tamil Nadu is quite high networking with resellers across all key
cities such as Trichy, Madurai and Coimbatore, among others."
Proview Electronics, started off in 1995 as a manufacturer of monitors, has
diversified its business by bringing in many IT products such as UPS, cabinets,
speakers, etc. The company has a nation-wide service network with 17 centers
providing after-sales support to its customers.
