D-Link DES-6500 chassis switch

Networking company, D-Link India has launched high-speed chassis switch for
enterprise network connections. According to the press release, the DES-6500 is
a Layer three backbone chassis-based Gigabit switch. This 9-slot chassis offers
a high switch fabric capacity of 160Gbps supporting wire speed L2/L3 packet
switch-ing in dynamic or static environment, high port density, comprehensive
network media support with L2/L3/L4 Class of Service (CoS) and Access Control
List (ACL), Multiple link aggregation, fault tolerance with hot-swap-pable CPU
module/line card and redundant power supply, traffic monitoring, and
comprehensive network management.

TVS-E enhanced ver of MSP 245

TVS Electronics Ltd (TVS-E), manufacturer of computer peripherals, has
launched an enha-nced version of its MSP 245 printer. The company claims that
this new version boasts of an incre-ased through-put, in addition to incre-asing
the life of the ribbons, and delivers the above at the lowest cost of printing
(at just two paise per page).

According to the press release, the product comes with a maximum speed
capability of 336 cps (cha-racters per second) and also with an increased buffer
memory size.

Logitech diNovo cordless desktop

Logitech is adding a new member to its growing family of desk-tops. The
Logitech diNovo Cordless Desktop is desig-ned for desktop use as well as for
people on the move, who carry their notebooks with them everywhere they go.

The new product featu-res Logitech cordless optical mouse for note-books and
a separate cordless numeric pad. The keyboard, nume-ric pad and mouse each
require two AA batteries. The product is available in India at a suggested
retail price of Rs 10990.

Iomega Black Micro Mini Drive

Neoteric Infomatique Pvt Ltd, India has launched the new Iomega Black Micro
Mini Drive targeted at students and mobile professionals. According to the press
release, the Black Micro Mini Drive is available in capacities of 128MB, 256MB
and 512MB and is USB 2.0 compliant with high speed interfaces and write speed up
to 7.0 Mbps (for 512MB). It is compatible with Windows, Mac or Linux 2.4x
operating systems.

The Black Micro Mini Drive can accommodate up to nine hours of music, up to
2,048 photos and the 512MB drive can also hold a 0.8 hours of video. The product
is available at Rs 1250 onwards.
