Funny but true. The world's leading Java developer community portal has published a new techno-satire series that puts Pramati ahead on IBM and BEA as the best performing product that gives customers greates value in the application server industry.

'Tales From TheServerSide', a biweekly comic strip on raging Java technology controversies, is produced by TheServerSide.com, the primary news source and developer community, centered around J2EE and middleware issues.

The cartoon compares the Greate Server Performance Race to the Formula One races which, hold your breath, Pramati wins on a scooter! The cartoon, reproduced here, shows Pramati as a nimble-footed youngster, scooting away with the honors, while the men (read IBM, BEA, Oracle), with their proprietary business interests, are busy picking holes in each other's standards implementation, performance and technology.

This cartoon, first in the series, is a take on the performance benchmark tests in which Pramati was a surprise frontrunner. Officially, performance is measures by the ECperf standard. Inspired by a turbulent year of Ecperf benchmark tests, this cartoon is a satire on what at times seemed like a back and forth race between the big vendors.

While this one was officially put up by the portal, what's special about Tales is that members can contribute ideas for all cartoons.
