After launching Java based application server in the market, Hyderabad based Pramati Technologies is targeting 20 percent of the Indian market in this segment this year. Jay Raghvendra Pullur, Founder and CEO, Pramati, said, "We have launched the Application servers in the market this year only and are expecting a substantial growth this year. In the US also we have got a good response."

The company is targeting around four to five percent of the application server market in the US. The total market size of the application server market in India is $ 4 million to $ 5 million and globally it is $ 2.5 billion.

The company has recently opened its sales offices in Hyderabad, Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai and Chennai and two offices in the US also. The company has selected some 60 Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) for selling of these application servers based on J2EE platform.

"One of the reasons ISV's chose the J2EE architectures is to have a choice of application server vendors. Pramati's recent success comes from a commitment to providing a viable alternative for the mid-market but with the same benefits offered by high-priced, branded servers," said
Pullur.

The company has already gone for two rounds of funding last year and is expecting next round of funding in the next year for further expansion. Pramati Technologies offers tools, software and services to quickly and economically build, run and maintain enterprise Java applications.
