Kolkata based GRUS MEDIA WORKS has entered into a tie up with Canada based

Destiny Media Technologies Inc, to offer playerless video streaming media

technology solutions in India. Playerless video streaming is a technology for

streaming of video from the Web, which doesn’t require the user to download a

player or a plug in or a file. Clipstream can stream video and audio across all

operating systems, without the user ever having to download anything.

According to the company, it automatically detects the connection speed of

the user and sends a suitable stream and hence can stream videos even across

dial up connec-tions that are used by majority of Indian users. Clipstream is

capable of supporting an unlimited number of concu-rrent streams and requires

very little bandwidth.

Clipstream can also stream live, helping companies in Web casting events,

seminars, cric-ket and even low cost video co-nferencing. This new techno-logy,

supports a large feature set for hyperlinking inside video elements, execution

of scripts inside videos, intera-ctivity, tracking and a water-tight piracy

protection pac-kage. It also supports features, which cater to the aesthetic

demands of the Web designer and can be mixed with other technologies like Flash

and Shockwave to play videos from websites and banners.

Clipstream can be used to embed videos that come alive inside e-mails too.

They can be set up for viral video e-mail campaigns. Clipstream can also stream

videos-to-wireless devices like cellphones too.
