Philips has launched a slew of schemes for partners selling its range of monitors. The schemes are broadly categorized into three categories: Philips mega bundle, special bundle and mini bundle.

Under the mega bundle scheme, a partner has to sell 125 Philips monitors. However, this bundle has to consist of minimum 50 units of 15" and 17" monitors each, 15 units of 17" flat or 19" normal and 10 units of LCD or 21" CRT monitors. On selling these numbers, a partner gets a cash incentive of Rs 27,000.

If the partner sells two mega bundles he is entitled to a 10-day trip to Australia, which includes return airfare and hotel stay. On selling three such bundles, the partner can take a companion along to Australia.

The special bundle scheme offers partners Rs 10,000 in cash. Partners will have to sell 25 units of 15", 15 units of 17", seven units of 17" flat or 19" and three units of LCD or 21" CRT monitors. One can take the trip to Australia by doing five such bundles.

The mini bundle is made up of 10 units of 15", six units of 17", three units of 17" flat or 19" and one unit of LCD or 21" CRT monitor. Partner selling one mini bundle gets Rs 3,500 as incentive and can avail the trip by doing 15 mini bundles.

"While the mega bundle is ideal for resellers in metros, special bundle is for those dealers who don't have a big focus on

LCDs.

The mini bundle is tailored specifically for the partners in B and C-class cities," informed Sanjay Maheshwari, Manager (Distribution), PC Peripherals, Philips India.

The scheme is scheduled to run between 1st April and 30th April 2003. "However, we expect the scheme to be a hit among partners and are open to extending the period of scheme," added

Maheshwari.

According to him, this scheme is not at all aimed at pushing volumes. "We want to leverage this scheme to create a greater mindshare for Philips in the reseller channel," he assured. Sanjay is also affirmative that these cash incentives would not get discounted by resellers.
