Mumbai based PCS have plans of setting up its channel network in Bangladesh and Srilanka in another three months and introduce the three years warranty package for its entire PC range.Â
The channel operations would be managed through Kolkata and Chennai for Bangladesh and Sri Lanka respectively. PCS will not be setting up it offices immediately in these countries. The PC vendor also has plans to spread its wings to Nepal this year.Â
Presently PCS are in the process of appointing its channel partners for these countries. Servicing of PCS products will be taken care of by the channel partners itself.
"PCS is looking at tapping the SOHO segment as well as large deals in these countries. PCS has already established itself in the Indian market and therefore it was the right time to move into these markets," said Arun Bhattacharya, Executive VP (Channel), PCS Industries.Â
PCS has been planning on providing three years since last year and now is in the finalization stage. "This is essential as the customer perspective changes and reliability on PCS products increases. The channels will also get extra margins and the support will be provided by the channels," added Bhattacharya.Â
In the Indian market PCS has now expanded it network to Kerala, Guwahati and Bhopal. PCS had ventured into retailing last year and had tied up with 50 retail partners. This year it has plans of tying up with atleast 150 retail partners.Â
On the product front it has plans to launch the sub 50,000 notebook. "This would take time as the trial run for the product has just been conducted in Hyderabad and Delhi. We are presently trying to put together and locate the correct configuration for the notebook therefore this would take some time," added Bhattacharya.
For this year PCS has major plans to expand on the vertical and SME segment. It's already present in the government and home segment especially in the B and C class cities.Â
