The present committee has been working towards engaging more partners to take
part in the elections. Although about six to seven new members will be present
on the day of the elections, they will not be able to vote because as per the
committee rules, a new member is required to serve membership for one year
before getting the right to vote.

“Currently we have 29 members in our association and we have been working
hard to increase the number so that the elections are fair and witnesses maximum
participation,” said Singla.

The association currently has four committees which include discipline,
pricing, service and maintenance and the fourth one deals with matters related
to companies and vendors. All the above committees have three members each. A
financial committee was also set up post-2008 elections to resolve financial
issues emerging in the region.
