In a first of its kind agreement by a channel partner association ever,
Delhi-based Progressive Channels Association of Information Technology (PCAIT)
is said to have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with The Indus
Entrepreneur, Delhi Chapter (TiE) for a period of three years starting April 1,
2009.

The MoU, which is subject to approval by the board of TiE, was signed in
Delhi, and the event was attended by the entire executive council of PCAIT.

According to the agreement both the organizations will come together to
undertake collaborative activities in certain set fields based on the existing
data that exist with both TiE and PCAIT.

Keeping the broad objective in mind TiE and PCAIT will admit each other as
institutional member or patron's on a honorary basis so that the agreement can
mutually benefit everyone.

Striving for the overall growth of the IT industry and members of both the
institutions, interfacing with government bodies on key policy issues, creating
a common platform for the member companies to network and share resources/best
practices and establishing a benchmark are some of the key focus areas that have
been identified in the MoU.

Another interesting aspect is that the agreement stresses on mentoring member
companies and helping them address business challenges, and emphasis will also
be on conducting seminars, workshops and training courses for widening and
improving knowledge base.

The agreement will help in not only getting PCAIT members benefits of
mentoring by TiE members but also get them access to global resources and
connectivity. In return PCAIT will assist TiE

in marketing their events through its partners and providing assistance in
actively reaching out to potential sponsors.

When contacted about this development Saket Kapur, General Secretary, PCAIT
refused to comment on the developments.
