PCAIT holds its first AGM

The Progressive Channels Association of Information Technology (PCAIT)
recently organized its first annual general meeting (AGM) in the capital. Ashish
Sanyal, Senior Director-Ministry of IT, Government of India graced the AGM
attended by almost 80 members.

Besides talking about the actions taken in the last fiscal for
members and the achievements of the association, the committee also talked about
growth opportunities and channel integration keeping the global IT scenario in
mind. Out of the total 86 PCAIT members, 55 life members were given each an
attractive wooden certificate for their efforts in making the association a
stronger one.

Intel, Microsoft and Samsung were the three sponsors for the AGM.
Sandeep Aurora, Channel Business Manager, Intel India and Subrotah Biswas, Head-Volume
Business, Samsung India availed the opportunity to showcase their products and
have a healthy discussion with the members present. They fielded queries and
complaints. Vineeta Lamba, Para Legal, Microsoft India used the platform to
educate the channel about counterfeit software and how to combat piracy.

Keshav Madhav, Treasurer, PCAIT shared the financial account
details of the association with the members. Also the meeting observed a
one-minute silence to pay homage to late Ashish Aggarwal of Triffin
Technologies, who was one of the founding members of PCAIT.

The AGM began with a speech by RK Malhotra, President, PCAIT,
and later Ranjan Chopra, VP and Saket Kapur, General Secretary of the body took
over. In his addressing note, Chief Guest Sanyal said that he was happy to see
the enthusiasm amongst PCAIT members and admired the work they have been doing.
He even promised his support in making PCAIT's dream of creating an IT plaza
into a reality.
