Patni awarded for corporate performance

Patni Computer Systems Ltd has received the highest export award for the year
2002-2003 in the computer software and related services category for the company's
meritorious performance and exemplary focus in the IT industry. Dayanidhi Maran,
Minister for Communication and IT, Government of India presented the award to OP
Kalra, Location Head, Patni, Noida at the All-India ESC Export Awards
Presentation function held in New Delhi last month.

The ESC Export award closely follows the "Amity Global Corporate
Excellence Award" presented to Patni by the Center of International
Business, Amity Business School, Noida. The award recognizes the growth achieved
by Patni over the years and the consistency in its overall corporate
performance.

PJ Kutar, Resident Director, Patni said, "Over the years we have emerged
as one of the largest software solution providers in India. We stand committed
to the growth of the Indian IT industry."
