Pathankot attack shuts IT market

The deadly attack on the Pathankot Air Force Base on January 2, carried out by terrorists who came from Pakistan caused the IT market shut in Pathankot. The Pathankot–Jammu highway was sealed off as soon as news of the attack broke But IT Association in Pathankot are standing against the terrorism and showing unity against these activities.

Rajesh Mahanjan, President, Pathankot Computer Dealers Association reacted on the same and said, “This attack was shameful and nefarious. 50000 soldiers are deployed after the attack and people in Pathankot are not permitted to go out side till the situation gets normal. IT market has also been shut after the attack but the people here in Pathankot are not afraid of it. We all support the action taken by Indian Army and Government of India. On the behalf of IT players in Pathankot, we condemned the attack”.

Sanjeev Walia, President, Punjab and Chandigarh IT Association said, “ Pathankot attack shows how terrorist want to break our country but We will fight against it as any cost. Pathankot IT association is also part of our association and we all are with them. We will give all support and any help to the IT players in Pathankot”.

The gun battle and the subsequent combing operation lasted about 17 hours on 2 January. Five attackers and three security forces personnel's were killed in the initial battle.
