A recent case has been reported regarding outside retailer from Kolkata plaguing the Siliguri market since almost a year now. Creative Speaker , a leader in digital entertainment products which have been in demand in the North Bengal IT market since beginning and is sourced by one National Distributor (ND). The North Bengal dealers always carry volume stock from that ND and no problem has ever been reported with respect to its MOP till the time two outside distributors established their presence in the in Siliguri.

However, the outsiders started selling these products at a price that is less by 5-6% lesser that those based in Siliguri. The most sorrowful part about the situation is that how will the Siliguri partners carrying volume stock, how sell these stocks by that price by making a loss. On speaking to a reliable source belonging to North Bengal IT Traders organization (NITO), he said that "these outside distributors first come to your market and offer you very low price for some products and buyers start thinking about their good luck for receiving products at such a low rate for volume buying of those Their presence gradually becomes stronger than ND in that particular product section and whenever the customers start buying their products at a constant rate they will enhance the price by 7-8%. By this time the existing Siliguri distributors have already fallen out of business by making loss." Now the question is who is to blame here, the ND who is supplying products at a dubious rate to the outside retailers or the outside retailers themselves who are cheating the Siliguri dealers and tapping their existing market?
