Orissa's 1st IT Conclave postponed

IT Association of Orissa (ITAO) has href="https://www.dqweek.com/itao-to-host-orissa-s-1st-it-conclave">rescheduled

its premier IT

Conclave in the state capital to the first week of March. According

to the association, it was difficult to arrange the event at a short

notice.

event is scheduled to be held on March 5-6 at MayFair Lagoon,

Bhubaneswar. As it is a big event for us, we required more time for

better coordination in order to make the event successful,” said

Dayananda Ratho, Secretary, ITAO.

The

association will felicitate channel partners, vendors as well as

state nodal bodies for their contribution in the Orissa IT industry.

The award ceremony has been organized by href="https://www.dqweek.com/manoj-lalani-is-the-new-president-of-itao">

ITAO in association with

Orissa Computer Application Center (OCAC), the state's nodal body

and Software Tech Park of India (STPI). The total number of awards to

be given has been estimated to be 30. The channel award, organized by

ITAO has been christened Orissa IT Awards 2010.

SIs, resellers from all across the state including upcountry

locations like Cuttack, Sambalpore, Rourkela, Berhampore, Balasore,

Angul, and other smaller cities will be present in the Channel Summit

at the KIIT Campus. ITAO will provide accommodation and other

necessary facilities to all the upcountry resellers in Bhubaneswar,”

Ratho added. “About 100 organizations under STPI and 200 resellers

across the state will be participating in the event. The format for

the event remains the same. People will get the benefit of

understanding the holistic IT scenario in the state better,”

revealed Ratho.

The

association has claimed that the event will be attended by leading

government personnel, civil servants, corporate houses, steel and

aluminum conglomerates of Orissa besides the IT fraternity, which may

open up new avenues for the channels. Leading members of all East

India's IT associations will also be present.

OCAC is the co-organizer for the event. In order to spread the use of

IT across the state and deliberate over its future contribution, the

IT Conclave provides a platform for the OEMs, vendors, consumers,

state nodal agencies and the IT channel community to come together

and discuss about the future of IT in Orissa.
