Oracle ropes in Kapil Makhija as director

Oracle India has appointed Kapil Makhija from Hewlett Packard (HP) to strengthen its Fusion Middleware business. Makhija had been instrumental in growing HP's enterprise business in his over 7 year's stint in HP. An Electronic Engineer and MBA Marketing, Makhija is a veteran in IT industry with 16 years of sales experience in top IT organizations. He has been a consistent performer and got multiple recognitions for his performance in HP and previous organizations.

As regional manager in HP, he was responsible for growing HP's enterprise business and driving entire ecosystem including sales, pre-sales, alliance, channels and ISV relationship in the region. With strong engagement with partner ecosystem and ISV's and exposure to business in virtually all segments ie IT/ITeS, corporate, banking, media, education, manufacturing, telecom, PSU's and government, he is well poised to grow Fusion Middleware business for Oracle.
