India
has rolled out its first global incentive program for partners,
called Oracle Partner Network (OPN) incentive program, starting from
the month of September, 2011. The company claims that its new program
is different from what competitors offer. Without adding any ryders,
it offers straight 8% incentive, in addition to partner's margin
across all the suites of Oracle products.
In an
exclusive interview with The DQWeek, Niraj Kaushik, senior
director, alliance and channels, Oracle India, said, “OPN incentive
program provide partners' rebate on selected Oracle technologies.
This is a first such program for Oracle globally and in India. Our
partners contribute significantly to our success. We are committed to
delivering new opportunities for them to grow and profit with Oracle.
Hence, to reward our loyal reseller community for choosing to
go-to-market and win with Oracle, we have introduced this program.”
Kaushik also
added, “This program is only open for Oracle partners, including
systems
integrators, solution providers, ISVs and resellers, accept its
national distributors like Redington, Avnet and Sonata. Partners will
get 3% incentives across all products and an additional 5% on
specialized products, and this will be over and above the margin. On
closing the deal, they will receive the credit within 60 days from
the national distributors.”
The program
offers rebate to authorized Oracle resellers who are transacting
through participating-registration rebate which provides a rebate
on net license and/or hardware revenue recognized by Oracle for broad
customer base transactions on all products for which Oracle offers
premier support, and strategic product rebate which provides a rebate
on the net license and/or hardware revenue recognized by Oracle for
