Nanotech, a subsidiary of Singapore-based Om Associates, which is
one
of the leading producers of memory products, including flash drives,
has launched ZipMem-branded pen drives and Dolgix products. The
company, that has a manufacturing facility in Noida, has reportedly
become the first Indian-origin vendor, to produce memory products,
which cater to the business needs of the world. It offers DRAM,
Flash, CMOS products and the company is planning to scale up its
production to 2,00,000 per month by April 2011.
Om Nanotech is optimistic
about the Indian market and will go for regional distribution for the
new products. "Starting with memory and flash products, we will
add more products, as per the market need. ZipMem and Dolgix are for
the high and low-end consumers. These products adhere to the
environmental necessities and are RoHS-complaint," said Ashok
Khosla, CEO, Om Nanotech. The company is also inking a deal for
service support in 35 cities. "We are focusing on regional
distribution, and will start with North and further penetrate Mumbai
and Bengaluru regions. We will support our marketing team, so that
the channel is not left in high and dry," he said.
The company will be
distributing its products in 21 countries in phase-I, and plans to
release its products in 100 countries in one years time. It offers
three to five years warranty on its products. Om Nanotech also have a
testing center and data generation facility, as well as undertakes
extensive R&D. The company has been offering memory modules and
flash chips to OEMs, and now with its own range, is banking high on
the memory market.
