Palo Alto, 22 Sept

Taking the personal computer completely out of the digital picture process, Hewlett-Packard has launched a new $400 printer that can take digital photos directly off a camera's memory card and print them.

The all-in-one HP PSC 950 combines, printer, copier, scanner and fax functions and comes with a special slot that is compatible with the three most commonly used types of memory cards: CompactFlash, SmartMedia and the Sony Memory Stick.
