...offers free insurance cover for buyers

Tally Solutions Pvt Ltd has entered into a business alliance with ICICI Lombard General Insu­rance, to offer their new cus­to­mers a proposition that not only takes care of the accounting needs of a busi­ness, but also protects it from natural disasters. Tally 7.2 is now available with free business insurance cover worth Rs five lakh to all customers who buy and start using the software between Nov 1-Dec 15, 2005. 

Tally and ICICI Lom­bard will offer Rs two lakh of property insurance, Rs two lakh of burglary insurance and
Rs one lakh insurance for cash in safe.

While talking about the program, Bharath Gopal­akrishnan, President, Soft­ware and Services Group Tally Solutions, said, "Based on research conducted among our country wide customer base and a significant number of our new prospects, we realized that the majority of the very small and small businesses in India are clearly unprepared to meet unfore­seen calamities.

These could be caused due to various factors including climatic conditions, political turmoil or even simply burglary and fire."

Commenting on the pro­gram, Rangarajan R, Director, ICICI Lombard, said, "The three most crippling losses perceived by the small busi­ness community include property, burglary and cash. Hence, we strongly feel that this partnership with Tally Solutions will add considera­ble value and relevance to Tally Solutions customers."
