NVIDIA has appointed Vishal Dhupar as
MD-Sales and Marketing for South Asia, responsible for the overall
management and strategic direction of its business in India, Sri
Lanka, Bangladesh, Maldives, Nepal and Bhutan. Dhupar previously
served for five years as MD for India and South Asia at Symantec,
following a similar position at Autodesk. He has also held a variety
of sales leadership positions at Sun Microsystems, Silicon Graphics
and Digital Equipment Corp.
“India is among NVIDIA's most
important markets and Vishal Dhupar has an exceptional background to
lead our activities there,” said Bernhard Gleissner, NVIDIA's VP
for Europe, Middle East, Africa and India. “His deep understanding
of the local market, his tested management record and his outstanding
sales skills will position us for continued growth there,” he
expressed. NVIDIA has more than 1,000 employees in India, based in
offices in Bengaluru, Pune, Hyderabad and Mumbai, with a strong focus
on engineering across the full range of its visual and parallel
computing businesses.
Following Dhupar's appointment,
Daniel Saison, who was previously Sales Director for Middle East,
India and Africa, will focus entirely on the Middle East and Africa.
