Norton appoints HCL Digilife as distributor

The collaboration will enable Norton to benefit from Digilife’s strong technological lineage and draw upon Digilife’s strengths in mobile distribution in over 200 cities in India

Crime involving mobile devices is on the rise, with a 93% increase in mobile vulnerabilities observed last year. Addressing this, Norton by Symantec announced a partnership with Digilife Distribution and Marketing Services, a 100% subsidiary of HCL Infosystems, for distribution of Norton Mobile Security for Android devices across India. The collaboration will enable Norton to benefit from Digilife's strong technological lineage and draw upon Digilife's strengths in mobile distribution in over 200 cities in India. With this partnership, consumers can now purchase Norton Mobile Security at over 60,000 mobile retail outlets, apart from leading e-tailers where the product is already available.

A recent Norton survey that sheds light on Indians' mobile phone usage habits revealed that 73 percent of connected Indians believe that security software would have helped in their mobile data recovery. Norton Mobile Security addresses a clear need being felt by Indian consumers and the partnership with HCL Digilife underscores Norton's commitment to protecting consumers across multiple devices and platforms by ensuring seamless accessibility and availability of its products.
