With the election dates knocking on the door, the association has started buoyant discussions on its social media platform on its Facebook page.
Biren Shah, member, ISODA, on why one should file nominations posted, "ISODA is a democratic organization and will thrive only if there are vibrant elections. Fresh blood is always needed for newer ideas, implementation on ground, and reaches higher echelons. Also, working for ISODA is a community service, we must step forward and form a habit of community service and one will be a better person, a better leader once one serves the community".
"If you cannot give priority to ISODA work; you must have ability to balance your business, personal life and ISODA work. ISODA work must get done in proper timeline all the time", he added in his post.
This time, key members and most of the founding members of ISODA have proposed to amend the election format. According to the proposition, the association is planning to have a routine upgradation in place for the holders of VP and VC portfolio to president and chairman respectively implying that the current personnel holding the offices of VP and VC have a fair chance to become the next president and chairman.
In case the proposal is adopted by the members present and voting, in the next year elections, Bindra and Agarwal is likely to become chairman and president respectively.
However, according to sources in ISODA, the proposal is subject to approval from a majority of the members during the AGM.
