Microsoft has launched Nokia XL, an Android-based smartphone, in the Indian market at a price of Rs 11,489. The phone is avaiaible in Bright Green, Cyan, Yellow, Black, White and Orange colors.

The Nokia XL boasts of a 5 inches display with 480×800 resolution. This smartphone is targetted at those customers who prefer larger display especially in India. The Nokia XL is driven by a 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon dual core processor and supports Dual SIM. This device is equipped with a 5MP rear-facing, autofocus camera with flash and 2MP front-facing camera. It comes with 768MB RAM, 4GB Of internal storage, which can be expanded upto 32GB via microSD card. This smartphone is packed with a 2000mAh battery, which is rated for 16 hours of talktime and upto 41 days of standby.

Nokia XL runson a ‘customized' version of Android and does not offer access to Google apps and services and the Google Play Store.

However, Nokia XL comes with Nokia's own app store, HERE Drive and maps for location service, and Nokia MixRadio music service.

Apps that use some kind of Google service, for instance Google Wallet for in-app payments or Maps for location, don't work on the phone unless ported to Nokia's store by the developer.
