Although much had been written about NITO trying to disintegrate from CIITA yet the two have made peace recently. While speaking to Manoj Baid, president, NITO, confirmed towards resolution of issues that prevalied between the two parties.

"We have resumed our business like before and have no issues with our association with CIITA. We continue to be an active part of the confederation. Yes, it is true that we were having difference of opinion regarding our events and business affairs, yet with time CIITA has paid heed to our problems and given solutions to a certain degree. It is an ongoing process but we are happy with the progress."

NITO was unhappy with CIITA's alliance for reasons more than one. According to NITO spokesperson, they had not gained any significant benefits from this relationship. Their membership fees were going waste and the relationship was futile. In an earlier conversation with The DQ Week, NITO officials had also voiced their displeasure regarding the non attendance of any CIITA member in the 2012 IT Fair. Even Sankar Dhar, secretary, NITO said that the reason behind such disgerad from CIITA could be attributed to the fact that CIITA was primarily manned by COMPASS.

However, as time heals all, NITO and CIITA finally seemed to have gone past their grunts . B Hari, president , CIITA reiterated the fact there is little or no truth on the statement made by Dhar. "CIITA gives equal voice to all its member associations. It is true that a number of important porfolios in the confederation are chaired by COMPASS members but that does not imply that we intentionally devalue any of ours non-COMPASS association/s. CIITA has been formed to enhance unity among all eastern associations and enhance the overall business."

He promised that even in future, CIITA will definitely give equal importance to all its member associations so that any feeling of being sidetracked do not arise."All this is sheer misunderstanding and miscommunication. We haven't given any inferior status to NITO. If they have felt disrespect , then we promise to take care of it. NITO is an important member and we are proud of its membership with us."added Hari.

The parties are no longer on a break-up mood. They are continuing with their individual roles and responsibilities and have shown responsibility in solving an impending critical situation which could have harmed the reputation of both leading to loss in business.
