Nitish Kumar, Bihar CM has launched the SCAN (School Computer Access Network) on the Bihar State Educational Infrastructure Development Corporation (BSEIDC) foundation day. SCAN is the Solution for concurrent evaluation of ICT Labs and computer usages in Government Schools across Bihar.

It was started on Bihar Divas day 22nd March as Pilot and today being the foundation day of Bihar State Infrastructural Development Corporation. It has also been dedicated to the State.

It's a Real time for online MIS integrated with SMS Alert and Data Capturing facility. The solution is designed to send automated Mail and SMS to respective stakeholders from Principal to DEO to District coordinators and MD, BSEIDC using ICT Technology.
It is specially designed for ICT at School project in Bihar on desktop sharing technology and now established in over 750 out of 832 schools and is being used extensively by all stakeholders. Principal gets SMS alert on daily basis if the ICT Lab of his school is not running, District Co-ordinator and State Level Officials also get SMS on certain intervals.
However the usages can be monitored 24X7X365 seamlessly.

Usages of the entire Computer Systems in the State to a particular school in any district, logs and history is also stored in a Central Server in the 'cloud' to overview and review at any point of time as and when required.

SCAN brings in collaborative approach and a web interface for each Partner to access information towards monitoring the daily working of these ICT Labs.

BSEIDC holds meeting on every 2nd Tuesday of a month based on the real-time data captured each day with the Boot operators to discuss and solve issues related to power, connectivity and reporting issues.

The solution has been able to bag the coveted 'Skihska Ratna Award 2013' in the month of February 2013 from CSDMS and Government of Punjab.
