The new showrooms will be in G.C. Avenue either in the main stretch or in E-Mall and the second will be located in the R.B. Avenue stretch in South Kolkata. The decision to opt for new showrooms was flared by the company's interest in increasing its bottomline this FY besides its regular focus over Acer which contributes to a healthy topline for the company.

"I am planning to come up with 2 new showrooms this year before Durga Puja expecting to leverage the buying sentiment in the market which will be created in the festive season", said Neeraj Agarwal of Nimbus Technologies.

Also, the company is on the lookout for retail partners but not in the channel model.

"Typically, I am considering partnerships or tie-ups with retail chains implementing the shop-in-shop concept. These partners will be directly billed and it would not fall under any of my channel billings. This is a part of the retail venture I am coming up with", he added.

Besides its plans for retail expansion, Nimbus Technologies will be increasing its Acer channel billings by atleast 80% implying nearly doubling the business generated from Acer.

Over the product front, Nimbus Technologies will be focussing more over tablets and notebooks rather than the traditional IT gadgets and components.

"Tablets are poised to take over the mobility market by storm. Already we have a surge in tablets and the vendors are coming up with new upgradations as well new launches regularly. Tablet has a youth appeal and also the business community is responding well to Windows based tablets from Acer. Clearly, tablet will be my priority this FY", he concluded.
