itel unveils smartwatches with dual-case design

itel has introduced two new additions to its Alpha smartwatch series with the launch of Alpha Edge and Alpha Style, positioned as the first smartwatches in India to feature a dual-case design. These wearables allow users to switch between rugged and minimalist looks using a removable protective case, marking a first-of-its-kind approach in the local smartwatch market.

Both models are IP68-rated for water and dust resistance, and come equipped with features tailored for fitness, convenience, and everyday wear. The Alpha Edge, priced at Rs. 1499, offers a large 2.0-inch HD display with 500 nits brightness, 100+ sports modes, and health tracking features including heart rate, SpO₂, and sleep monitoring.

The Alpha Style, priced at Rs. 1799, caters to users who prefer a more compact round dial. It features a 1.43-inch AMOLED screen with 466×466 resolution, 700 nits brightness, and an Always-On Display. It also integrates Bluetooth 5.3 for more efficient calling and battery performance.

Both models offer over 150 customizable watch faces and include built-in utilities such as a stopwatch, calculator, music control, and find-my-phone functionality. Battery life stretches up to 15 days on standby, powered by a 300 mAh cell.

itel’s move reflects a growing demand in India for smartwatches that blend functionality with fashion. The snap-on case system allows users to adapt the look of their device to match their activity or style preference, removing the need to compromise on aesthetics or toughness.

Available in a variety of colour options, including Lurex Black, Midnight Blue, Rose Gold, and Champagne Gold, the smartwatches are now in stores across India. With their accessible price points and versatile designs, the Alpha Edge and Alpha Style position itel as a serious contender in the budget smartwatch segment.
