Videotex, an Indian original design and equipment manufacturer, has introduced 4K QD Mini LED Smart TVs with 3840x2160 resolution. Aimed at domestic TV brands, the integration of Mini LED and QLED technologies is designed to enhance brightness, contrast, and overall visual quality in premium television offerings.
With over four decades of industry experience and collaborations with more than 25 brands, such as Lloyd (Havells), Reliance (BPL, Reconnect), Vijay Sales (Vise), Daiwa, Toshiba, and Hisense, Videotex continues to contribute to India’s television manufacturing ecosystem. The company previously introduced technologies like LG’s webOS Hub and Dolby Audio to the Indian market.
The Mini LED technology used in this line incorporates Full Array Local Dimming Zones, offering improved contrast, deeper blacks, higher brightness levels, and enhanced colour accuracy compared to conventional LED displays. The new TV range has been developed at Videotex’s R&D and manufacturing facility in Greater Noida, covering 240,000 sq. ft.
The initial models include 55-inch and 65-inch versions, with plans to launch 75-inch, 86-inch, and 100-inch variants. These TVs feature 180 and 308 dimming zones, peak brightness of over 1000 nits, and support for DCI-P3 94%+ colour gamut, HDR10, and HLG standards. Motion Estimation Motion Compensation (MEMC) and Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) are included for smoother visuals and improved gaming experiences.
Audio output is rated at 40W with a 2.1-channel setup, including a built-in 15W subwoofer. Powered by LG’s webOS Hub, the TVs offer ThinQ AI-based voice recognition, a Magic Remote, and compatibility with Android and iOS devices. Connectivity options include three HDMI ports (including HDMI 2.1), two USB ports, Bluetooth 5.0, and Wi-Fi 5.
