As Kanpur is home to several globally recognized institutions such as IIT
Kanpur, Harcourt Butler Technological Institute (HBTI) and GSVM Medical College,
education sector is the main vertical contributing to the growth of Kanpur IT
market. "About 50 percent of the total IT demand is being generated by students
followed by SOHO and home segment. And sales go up during festivals. In Diwali
we did good business as profit margin was high," said Kohli.

service-related issues like changes in a vendor's policy without any prior
