NComputing announced a special education pricing scheme, valid until June 20,
to encourage private educational institutions throughout the country to
experience the performance and cost savings its solution has already delivered
to 5,000 government schools in Andhra Pradesh and hundreds more private schools.

The special pricing includes a 25 percent discount on the NComputing X-series
kits and a 15 percent discount on the L-series. The discount is only available
to private educational institutions in India during the promotional period. With
the special pricing scheme, NComputing delivers computing seats at reduced costs
starting at Rs 3,750 per seat after discount. The offer is available through
participating resellers and on the MRP.

The NComputing solution taps the unused capacity of PCs so that it can be
simultaneously shared by multiple users at very low cost. The NComputing
solution consists of virtualization software that enables a single PC to be
shared by many users and an access device. Each user's monitor, keyboard, and
mouse connect to the small, highly reliable NComputing access device, which is
then connected to the shared PC. NComputing access devices and software enable
as many as 30 users to access the capability of one PC, thus bringing down the
cost of infrastructure, installation, and maintenance.

In addition to lower acquisition costs, the NComputing solution also reduces
ongoing support costs. NComputing access devices only use one watt of
electricity-compared to 120 watts of electricity for a dedicated PC. The lower
power consumption also reduces the need for uninterruptible power supply (UPS)
systems and inverters.

Only the host PC must be maintained regardless of how many users share its
power and this further reduces support and replacement costs. Even though PCs
are usually replaced every three to five years, the NComputing devices are
expected to have a useful life of at least 10 years.
