What plans he's been able to make for this body and his new team? How he plans to make this redundant organization run at its optimum level? And how he perceives the market dynamics and challenges, which are to be faced? All this was discussed in an exclusive interview given to the DQW News Bureau immediately after the results of the elections were announced.

How does it feel to be a representative of such a crucial business segment?

It is a great feeling, but yes! eventually it is leading to a lot of pressure. There is so much that has to be done. When I think about it, there are a lot of things that needs to be considered in the near and far future. There is a lot of work which is to be done. Because as of now DCTA has been a dormant association.

What are your immediate plans for DCTA?

We will try to build up an organization with a wide member base. When it started it had 125 members who voted, this time it has increased to 279. In the near future you will see it going up to 600 to 800 members from Nehru Place and adjoining areas.

What are the other areas of functioning DCTA will be looking at?

Media industry is also our concern, as it a part'n'parcel of IT hardware sector and it has not been getting its due importance. Again it is not good that there are so many associations coming up under the same banner for Nehru Place. As this industry is one, so should be the platform under which various people address their problems and can raise their voice.

What do you plan to do with the present unpleasant incidences of financial duping?

Currently for the financial defaulters, it is the communication level that needs to be strengthened. Presently what is happening is that defaulters manage to find an easy way out because even though the person is duped he does not spread the word around. And thus same defaulters can afford to ditch more than one person. Now we will make sure that anybody who at least is under the DCTA banner, does not hides these kind of happenings and thus these kinds of occurrences can be put to rest. We will also try to give certification to each reseller in a particular premises, thus making absconding of these falters fewer and let genuine people work in the market.

So what will be done for a good communication level?

We are thinking of having one particular spokesperson, who will be accountable about the organization's activities and anybody can be approached for any kind of information. This would also help to cut down on the grapevines and misleading information that occurs from anyone but a reliable source. Also, whatever this guy says DCTA would be answerable to it.

What are your long term plans for the revival of the association?

Constitution still needs to be written, and the constitutional term is yet to be decided. It should be available in next two to three months, which would work as a Bible for us. Other plans involve an image building exercise, a renewed office premise, an integrity amongst the reseller community, professional help to various resellers on panel, vendor principal alignment, to mention a few.
