has recently introduced new
communication collaboration and networking solutions to drive the
expected growth in the phase of the recovery. It encompasses storage
and server solutions, which enable the SMB segment to manage and
protect data. Besides streamlining their communication and
operational process while deploying and opening up more routes to the
market, it enables business expansion.
Speaking
over the launch, Santanu Ghose, Country Head, Infrastructure Software
and Blades- HP India said, “Fiber has reached every corner of
India and this will play a very important role for SMB growth.
Besides the use of owned and self-controlled applications, third
party applications are on the rise in the SMB space. As we are
heading more from the automated system processes to service oriented
architecture, the availability of numerous services enabled by cloud
is at disposal.”
In
this endeavor, HP unveiled three new ProLiant scale-up servers in
Kolkata. These servers are capable of delivering multiple innovation
processes while automating. Thus enabling the users to speed-up
application delivery module and optimize the IT resources. The
rack-mounted servers offer two TB storage and 'self-healing'
capability, which enables to maximize application up-time with a
claimed 200 percent boost in availability. style="font-family: Times New Roman,serif;">

the new offering, Gopalswami S, Product Manager (Proliant), HP India
said, “The ProLiant G7 server line can consolidate face="Times New Roman, serif"> style="background: transparent none repeat scroll 0% 0%; -moz-background-clip: border; -moz-background-origin: padding; -moz-background-inline-policy: continuous;">multiple
servers
into a single one that is available both on Intel as well as
AMD platforms. With the feature of offering the customers to scale up
and down with load balancing capability, it offers a cloud ready
platform which starting RoI cycle in a span of just 30 days.”
Opining
that the SMB segment is opening up to the concept of cloud in the
recovery phase Ghose said, “The central strategy for HP is
partnership. We have 100 Independent Software Vendors (ISV) to
collaborate on the solutions as well as a strong partnership base.”
HP
has claimed that the new HP Blade System Matrix platform, in
integration with automation tools is capable of simplifying the IT
environment and self-servicing the applications. It also enables
private cloud and service centric IT organizations by allowing the
clients to deploy complex IT environments at ease. This process,
according to the vendor, can reduce the total ownership cost by 56
percent. The new product and solution offerings, according to HP, has
broadened the scope of its registered SPs and channel partners. style="font-family: Times New Roman,serif;">
“ face="Times New Roman, serif">We
are offering the solution directly as well as through our channel
partners across India. On one hand, our channel partners will have
the advantage of providing a unique solution to its client in terms
of hardware. On the other hand, the channel partner will have the
option to service the equipments and offer third party solutions on
our matrix,” added Ghose while discussing about the opportunities
for the channel partners.
In
the SMB segment, HP is targeting retail, education and healthcare
verticals besides real-estates to address the new solution. Its also
planning to come up with customized ERP solutions for each of these
segments shortly.
