In its bid to expand to the overseas market Nettlinx Ltd is all set to expand its operations to US and Germany. It is planning to open its software development branches outside the sub-continent. "Nettlinx would start its overseas branches in US and Germany from the first week of October, 2001. These branches would take care of software development projects. We have already invested around Rs 10 crore for the expansion and another Rs 5 crore will be spent over a period of one year for properly entrenching ourselves in the overseas as well as Indian market. This apart we are also looking forward to expanding our ISP operations in this region of India," said, Manohar Reddy, MD, Nettlinx.
It is going to focus on two areas–developing cutting edge Internet technologies and application development for its US and Germany centers. "We are going to recruit around 75 people each for both the software branches and the process has already been started," he added.
As of now the company is providing Internet Access connectivity through 180 locations and is looking forward to expanding its ISP operations to the other major Telecom Districts Centers like Karimnagar and Cuddapah during this month end, apart from the existing operations in 10 Major Telecom Districts. Also by this year-end, Nettlinx would further be expanding its Internet operations to the Districts of West Godavari and East Godavari respectively. The ISO 9001 Certified ISP has a total customer base beyond 30,000.
The company is also going to offer its Internet services through cable. However, NettlinX had tied-up with the local cable operators to provide the cable service. In the first phase, the following District Headquarters will be covered viz; Cuddapah, Guntur, Hyderabad, Karimnagar, Nellore, Tirupati, Vijayawada and Warangal. Besides providing other services Web Hosting, Web Designing, Dial-Up-Access, Network Solutions, Leased Lines, etc.
Hyderabad Stock Exchange has tied-up with Nettlinx for its online trading services. In the first phase the project will shortly be implemented in the nine Districts of Andhra Pradesh. And in the very near future will expand the services in the whole of Andhra Pradesh. Negotiations are on the way and there is a tremendous response from the customers.
The company developed E-Post project for the Department of Posts and was successfully launched in the month of August'2001. The project initially was launched in the States of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Goa, Maharashtra and Kerala and it generated a good response from the people. Plans are under progress to implement the same throughout India.
