Three entrepreneurs associated with Datapro have come together to establish Netpro Technologies Pvt Ltd to address the growing needs for architecting end-to-end business solutions using the Microsoft .NET technology.
The three promoters, TN Sundar, Chairman and MD, Netpro, Rahul Arora and KR Venkatraman, Director (International Marketing), Netpro, bring 60 years of accumulated experience in IT related solution delivery and support in India and abroad.
This knowledge has enthused them to set up a software development center and a center of excellence focused only on the
Microsoft .NET technology based out of Pune.
The initial focus would be on building deep skills in areas of custom application development and migration using .NET, BizTalk for EAI, Web services for customer service and value chain integration, SQL Server and analysis for business intelligence and mobile solutions.
However, the strategy would be to bring in the domain skills in the area of financial services, manufacturing and healthcare.
Said Sundar, "The business model has multiple components consisting of domestic projects, Offshore and On-shore projects leading to offshore work. Product development would be a long-term goal."
Netpro has setup a US liaison office to handle international tie-ups for Netpro's advantage marketing program and its offshore development activities. Venkatraman said that Netpro is in discussion with a few international vendors for representing and marketing products built around the Microsoft .NET technologies, in India.
Altiris Inc, a major in systems management solutions that reduce the total cost of owning IT, has signed up with Netpro Technologies as its business partner, to provide Complete Life Cycle Management Solutions in India.
Netpro as an Altiris Business Partner would offer solutions to address a specific area of the IT technology lifecycle, including deployment and migration, software and operations management, inventory and asset management and help desk and problem resolution.
Fully integrated, these tools provide a complete technology lifecycle management solution for both Windows and Unix systems. The company has managed to lure away Mahesh Gode, formerly with Daimler Chrysler offering him a position as the
CTO.
The company envisages a turnover of Rs 5 crore for the first year from April 2003 onwards and hopes to grow at a rate of 60 percent to 70 percent.
