Netgear
Technologies India Pvt Ltd, has decided to spruce up its presence in the
country. It is planning to unveil a number of India specific products targeting
at the domestic customers in the next few months, while expansion of manpower
and marketing is in the pipeline.
Speaking at a press meet in
Mumbai on Tuesday, Ian McLean, VP-Asia Pacific Sales, Netgear, said,
“Recognizing the strength and potential of India, we are putting greater
resources in the Indian market. Aiming at strengÂthening our presence among the
home and medium enterprise market, a couple of new products like Range Max 240
wireless products and Netgear Smart Stackable switches could hit the market in
the next few months.”

“In the last two years, we
have successfully added a number of clients in India. Having recognized in India
as the third largest selling brand in wireless segment in a span of 18 months,
we are gearing up for investing in manpower and in developing India specific
products,” he added.
McLean also informed that
they are planning to increase the channel partner base in India but the strategy
for that is yet to be decided. Right now Netgear Technologies India has recently
appointed Yogesh Kumar Sharma as Country Manager for India and SAARC.
Moving the value chain to
address more business and medium enterprise market and further strengthening
their support, toll free numÂbers for customers will be introduced soon by
Netgear that designs, develops and markets technologically advanÂÂced, branded
netÂworÂking products that address the specific needs of small and medium
businesses and home users.
