Netgear partners with StorageCraft for backup and recovery

Netgear has announced its partnership with StorageCraft Technology, a provider of backup and disaster recovery solutions.

As a result of this partnership, Netgear announced ReadyRECOVER, a new addition to its ReadyDATA unified storage (NAS/SAN) platform which is integrated with the ShadowProtect backup and disaster recovery software from StorageCraft.

The new appliance backs-up servers, desktops and laptops in both on-premise and virtual environments, every 15 minutes. ReadyRECOVER creates synthetic full backups in a VHDX format to recover into a virtual or physical machine. For both server-to-NAS backup and PC-to-NAS backup, the backups require no file conversion, and can be used to restore files, folders, databases or Windows-based systems to any platform.

The new appliance features protection for Windows servers, virtual machines supporting Citrix, Microsoft Hyper-V, VMware; hardware-independent restoration to any hardware or virtualization platform, zero-delay, WAN-optimized replication, hardware compression and per-job de-duplication for storage, and five-year warranty for ReadyDATA.
