Flash based solution provider, NetApp in an interaction with The DQ Week shared its channel plans for the current financial year wherein the company aspires to increase its market presence as well as the channel base.
Krithiwas Neelakanthan, director, channel & alliances, India & Saarc, NetApp said, "We are doubling our business on a q-o-q basis. Our 'install base' across India has increased and we believe this momentum will continue."
NetApp is a 100% channel partner led company and it has plans to strengthen its channel base. Currently, it has has about 80+ channel partners across the country and has more than 1,000+ customers wherein it has deployed with 5,500 plus systems. Last year, the company had strengthened its partner ecosystem by creating new alliances, service providers and adding more SIs and VARs. Also, tailored solutions for customers especially for mid-sized businesses and enterprises, is now offered by the company and its partners.
Earlier this year, the company had expanded its enterprise offerings and caters to segments like virtualization, cloud, business apps, big data, converged infrastructure and more. As of today, it addresses key verticals like BFSI, telco, healthcare, retail, government and more.
"At the service front, it has developed the skill-set of its channel partners and now offers services at 23 locations. NetApp plans to increase this base to at least 30 locations in the country," said Neelakanthan. He further added, "We have get positive response from the market especially from data centers and verticals which require major reduction in latency and high uptime. Also, we are now getting good response from B-and C- class cities. Overall, the scenario is optimistic and we are expecting positive growth this year."
