NECTA introduces online voting system, elects Agarwalla as President

Marking a major milestone in its history of polls, North East Computer Traders Association (NECTA) has introduced online voting system thereby electing its office bearers through the first of its kind.

Implementing the online system, Pawan Agarwalla of Guwahati based datamation has been elected as the president of the association and will be in charge of implementing its policies with Avinash Jalan, general secretary, complete solutions.

"My heartiest congratulation to each member of electoral board for conducted first time online voting systems in NECTA. This process will be a milestone in the history of our association", commented Trideep Talukdar, former president, NECTA expressing his views on the online voting system.

Commenting on his election Agarwalla, president, NECTA stated, "I stand here today humbled by the task before me and grateful for the trust bestowed upon me. I thank Rajesh Agarwal and Ranjan Das (former president ) and general secretary respectively, for their remarkable services during their tenure. The journey which I will continue from today, will try to establish the most powerful association of the east".

"The new members came together with their power voice and expressed their choice for president and Team NECTA by casting their valuable votes in favor of us. Although I have won, but everyone who contested are also winners. I hope to meet all the challenges which were left to be done by the past president. This time you all voted for action. We will work together, meet all challenges, put aside politics and build the NECTA community together", he further stated.
