Nebula ties-up with HP

Chennai-based Nebula Technologies, a product distribution company currently focussing on providing network solutions, has tied up with Hewlett Packard as its distributor in India for offering ISP server appliances solution. The company will represent a vast range of products from HP such as hosting server appliances, traffic management server appliances, cache server appliances and VPN server appliances, to name a few. 

"We are focussing only on high-end products and solution from the HP stable," said V Sakthivel, Business Manager, Nebula Technologies Pvt Ltd.

The company's present tie-up with HP is seen as part of its aggressive expansion plans to make Nebula a name to reckon with in the industry. The company has lined up more such prestigious tie-ups with leading MNC brands which are likely to take off in the next couple of months. "Nebula is targeting a turnover of Rs 150 crore for this fiscal which will show a 70 percent growth. The company has registered a turnover of Rs 90 crore in the last fiscal," he said.

In the coming week, the company is signing up with a leading MNC power conditioning solution provider for marketing their range of UPS products, from entry-level of 550 VA up to 6 KVA. "Our major focus would be on entry-level as it is a fast selling commodity," said Sakthivel. However, he declined to comment on the brand name except for saying it is a leading international brand.

Nebula has also initiated talks with multinationals for adding up monitors, printers (both inkjet and laser), scanners, high-end DLT and tape drives, and other peripherals. "We are expecting everything to be through before the end of this fiscal," observed
Sakthivel.

In the next stage, the company is planning to tie-up with few domestic suppliers to get products such as motherboards, speakers, keyboards, hubs and switches, through OEM contract. "Presently, we are importing these products and branding them (under Qmax name which is its own brand)," he said.

Nebula is constantly expanding its branch network, two per every quarter, and today it has 16 branches across India. "We are opening offices in Indore and Raipur in this OND quarter," he said.

With expanding product line and branch network the company is confident of achieving its revenue target of Rs 150 crore set for this fiscal. "We have already done Rs 68 crore in the first half year (H1)," added
Sakthivel.
