Chennai-based Nebula Technologies, a leading IT hardware distributor in the market and one of the five Intel CPU distributors in India, has chalked out major expansion plans for 2001. Currently, the company has tied-up with Epson for bundling printers and scanners with their Qmax range of PCs. "We are also looking for possible tie-ups with SW vendors and ISPs for bundling their service with our Qmax computer systems, as a value-added measure," said V Sakthivel, Business Manager, Nebula Technologies Pvt Ltd.
The other plans of Nebula Technologies include launching new range of PCs, likely to be named as Qmax Quadrant, for corporate segment. Presently, the company is focussing on SOHO segment and a new brand Qmax Sigma would be announced shortly for this market. "We would be opening eight branch offices this year and Chandigarh, Cochin, Kolkata, Indore, Pune, Noida and Nagpur are the places identified currently," said Sakthivel. Recently, Nebula has opened a branch office in Coimbatore.
Nebula has announced its Qmax PCs for corporate segment would hit the market in AMJ and aggressive marketing plans are being drawn. "The company plans to expand the channel network for better reach," he explained. Nebula is holding talks also with another printer major (MNC brand) for the bundling program.
"Games, multimedia and data recovery software will be installed with the systems, besides other office utility programs," said Sakthivel.
In Q2, the company will also sign a couple of deals with MNCs for trading monitors and floppy disk drives as a national distributor, besides introducing USB products manufactured in Taiwan.
The company has notched a turnover of Rs 56 crore in the last fiscal and projects a turnover of Rs 100 crore by March 2001.
