After Hyderabad's Software Technology Park and Bengaluru International Tech Park, it is time for Patna's Nalanda district, also the chief minister's home district to emerge as the destination for the state's Park. While Bihata near Patna was the original choice for the Park, it got shifted to Rajgir located in Nalanda district to be the location for IT Park.
CM Nitish Kumar also said on the two day eBihar conference that the government is ready to extend hand of help to IT developers and IT investors to build this city. To bring the state of Bihar at par with respect to other states in terms of IT infrastructure development and to generate employment, the CM also said that he would also set up more IT parks in different parts of Bihar including Patna.
Nalanda is also home to a new international Nalanda University which will start its academic session from this very year. The city is expected to be built near this university and a 200 acre plot of land has been allotted for the same.
