Nadiad-based Nadiad Computer Merchant Association (NCMA) recently held its annual general meeting wherein it elected its new working committee as well as sketched out a broader picture of activities it intends to conduct in the year.
Established in 2008, NCMA held its annual get together on January 24, 2013. Dipen Bhatt, president of NCMA said, "This annual activity gives us an opportunity to build interpersonal relationship as well as draft our plans for the year ahead. Also, this is the time when we elect our committee for the year."
The annual meet took place in Hotel Rajasthan Garden, Mt Abu. Post election, following members were elected on to the working committee board: Dipen Bhatt of Deep Media Marketing as president, Harshad Patel of Aries Laptop as the vice president and Pravin Prajapati of Pranav System as the secretary and treasurer of the new committee. In addition, the association has appointed an executive committee to assist the working committee in all its endeavors. This includes Rakesh Shah of Rakesh Computer Services, Zubin Saiyed of Comtech Technologies, and Vaibhav Shah of VS Computer Consultancy.
Bhatt added, "Prior to the election of the body, this year we have had a lengthy discussion on Microsoft licensing policies and the importance of awareness for Genuine Microsoft Licensing. We have decided to spread awareness first amongst the partner community and then extend it to the end-customer."
In the coming year, NCMA is working out details to conduct more partner-centric activities. Bhatt added, "More and more IT vendors are joining as members in this association. We want to leverage this and further enhance the knowledge base of our channel partners. Through such channel engagement initiatives, our aim is to improve the understanding of partners and in turn enable a healthier business environment for the entire community." He further added, "We have decided to conduct meeting every month either in the first or second week of that month. We will be conducting more activities to keep our members updated about the current and future trends of the industry."
"NCMA plans to organize a variety of programs every year which will focus on strengthening the bond between members as well as update them about the latest products and market trends," stated Bhatt.
Located in central Gujarat area, Nadiad-based NCMA has about 35 members in the association. It also covers smaller towns like Umreth and Kheda. NCMA is also a registered association with FITAG and actively participates in that circle too.
