Multi-service access router

D-Link has launched its locally designed and developed multi-service access
router. DRO-250i is part of D-Link's multi-ser­vice access router series, a
line of highly flexible and reliable business-class routers designed to secu­rely
connect remote sites to corporate net­works. These routers provide a wide range
of remote link ser­vices that can be tailored to the particular remote access
require­ments of your business.

The DRO-250i uses XScale architecture (ARM core with NPEs) from Intel
(IXP425) and the hardware is designed with 1 Ethernet LAN and 4 WAN interfaces
(Ether­net WAN/DMZ, V.35, ISDN BRI & AUX). V.35 is the Primary interface
for WAN connec­tivity, which ideally gives bandwidth up to 2Mbps. ISDN BRI is
the secon­dary WAN interface which can be used as a 128kbps back-up line.

Internet, Intranet and Extranet access with VPN and firewall protection.

• Routing: DRO-250i sup­ports both Static Routing and dynamic
  routing (RIP V1& V2, OSPF)
• Multi-homing and load balancing: User can con­nect to multiple WAN
  Networks and the load can be shared between these multiple WAN interfaces to
  get good bandwidth.
• Security: D-Link multi-service access routers pro­vide extensive
  secu­rity protection, from Stateful Packet Inspec­tion (SPI) firewall to
  IP Sec based VPN and authentication.
• QoS: Allocate WAN band­width to priority applica­tions for impro­ved
  per­formance.
• Multi casting: Supports Multicasting using PIM-SM with IGMP.
• Management: Router can be managed remotely in a secure manner using
  secure Web based management and also using SNMPv3
• Remote firmware up­grade: In case of any firm­ware upgrades, the
  router has the flexibility to be upgraded remotely from the field.
• Auto Back-up: If any interface goes down, the back up interface becomes
  active automatically.
