Although the overall IT trade market has witnessed a slowdown by about 60 percent in the JFM quarter of the ongoing financial year, the M.P. Computer and Telecom Association (MPCTA) of Indore is all set to organize its annual partner event named ‘Manthan V' in Dubai this year. "This is one of the significant events that we conduct every year with all our partners to discuss about ways for improvising the IT market fixing all the limiting factors. This business event will be held in Dubai from 9th March to 12th March this year," said Ritesh Jhawar, President, MPCTA.

MPCTA is the apex body of computer traders of the commercial capital of Madhya Pradesh. According to the association, this year's agenda for ‘Manthan V' will be primarily focusing on the problems that the dealers are facing in the city. "Apart from the ongoing recession which is posing a challenge for all our members to be profitable from the corporate segments, also our regional distributors are facing a lot of problems from the National distributors of vendors. And, in our annual business event we will definitely come up with certain solution for all these problems which are hampering the IT trade market here," Jagdish Mantri, Secretary, MPCTA.

Last year, ‘Manthan IV' was organized successfully in Matheran. "With such business events with our member partners, we aim to promote fair trade practices and to encourage a healthy environment among members. It has successfully handled many disputes and ensures that the harmony of the trade is maintained," said Jhawar. Recently, the association also organized the FONOCOM, which is claimed to be one of the biggest events in Central India. This four-day tech-fest was a loud success, which was thronged by about 60,000 visitors.

Speaking further about the plans of the association, Mantri said that MPCTA would be conducting its election in June this year wherein the association will have its new elected board members.
