Compaq to start e-life store

The city-based computer showroom, Computer Gallery, will launch the first ‘Compaq
e-Life Store’ at the Royal Blue Building at Meghdoot Park Main Road recently.
The showroom Directors Sudhir and Subit Arora said that the store will be
inaugurated by Ravi Swaminathan, Director, Access Business Group of Compaq
Computers India Pvt Ltd. The company has begun the e-Life store series to
reshape its network of retail outlets. The new store will offer attractive
products that provide new communication and entertainment-related information in
a trendy way. The company was the first to introduce PC retail stores to develop
and market computer hardware and software solutions. The speciality of the show
room is that customers can actually feel the unique surround sound of the
computer speakers in the specially built multimedia room. The showroom will also
offer desktops, portables, UPS, scanners, printers and their accessories.

The people of Sehore district will now be connected to the yonder world with
the official website of the district, inaugurated by Sajjan Singh Verma,
Minister of Sehore district at a gathering of the Zila Planning Committee at the
Collectorate. Addressing the audience, Information and Science NIC Incharge,
Sehore district, Dharmendra Jain said that the website has information on
agriculture, the Census 2001, District Planning Committee (DPC), health and
other departments of the district. On the occasion, the Collector, Arun Pandey,
MP Ranjeet Singh Gunwar (Ashta); Karan Singh Verma (Eshawar); MP Ramesh Saxena (Sehore);
Zila Panchayat President Jashpal Singh Arora; CEO, Zila Panchayat, Heera Singh
Shekhawat, and other eminent persons were also present.

A progresssive farmer, Sushil Vyas of Village Sirwad of Hoshangabad district
has recently hosted his own website. Vyas is a Mentha (peppermint) producer and
Internet has helped him to update himself with the demand for Mentha oil in
other countries and has helped him to martket his small village in foreign
countries. Till sometime back, he too was sufficed with growing wheat, gram and
soyabean. But when he learnt about Mentha cultivation and trade from the farmers
at Muradabad (UP), was when he decided to cultivate it back home. Vyas has
established the most modern and the biggest plant to extract Mentha oil and is
now conducting training camps along with the District Industries Centre (DIC).
He after getting connected to the world, with the help of close friends, then
hosted his own website.
