From just being a trading company, Vectra Systems and Solutions has evolved into an end-to-end solution provider in the industry offering total solutions to customers. The company entered in IT business as a premium channel partner for HCL products in 1995 when HCL opened up to the channel market. "We are dealing with HCL's entire range of products such as desktops, laptops, servers, work stations etc," said R Kannan, Managing Director & CEO, Vectra Systems and Solutions Pvt Ltd.

In the same year, the company went in for a tie-up with HP for dealing with their products. "We have been appointed as Accredited Corporate Reseller (ACR) for HP and we took up service business also as an official partner," said

As part of its diversification plans, Vectra entered in to barcode solution providing business, in 1996, in association with TEC Japan. "We are a chief distributor for TEC barcode products and solution in the country," he said. The company formed a separate division to take care of barcode business.

Vectra opened a branch office in Bangalore in 1997 that offered similar service as available in Chennai. The company also signed up with Microsoft as certified solution provider to market its suite of software products. "The year 1999 was a breakthrough period for us in business. Vectra established a customer support division called `Vectra Care' to offer value-added services. We offered AMC and upgrade services, facility management service, besides setting up exclusive in-house support centers for HP, HCL and Toshiba," explained

Kannan.

In 2000, Vectra formed a subsidiary company in the name of `Vectra Technosoft' to offer software solutions in the area of Intranet, Internet and e-commerce. "We focus only on building customized solutions in business across all platforms. We have expertise in all platforms and can build any type of solution," he exclaimed.

The company also offers products from Cisco and Intel stable through value added reseller status and system integrator relationship, respectively.

"Today, we are an end-to-end company offering wide range of products and services to the customers. From selling PCs to integrating systems to establishing network (LAN/WAN/MAN) to developing customized software, Vectra is capable of providing any IT service to the customers," added

The company has registered a turnover of Rs 19 crore in the last fiscal and confident of posting over 25 percent growth in the current fiscal.
